Each brace is secured with three matte black circular fasteners, which appear to be large washers covering bolt heads or lag screws, contrasting sharply against the light wood. The structure is set outdoors with blurred greenery visible in the background.

Cedar Wood

Every Yardistry direct product is built with 100% premium Cedar (Cunninghamia Lanceolata) lumber. Therefore giving your Yardistry Direct product a distinctive, premium look and feel. With its natural beauty and outstanding physical properties, Cedar lumber is the preferred choice for outdoor projects and considered a premium material.

The ability of Cedar to bring warmth and character to a backyard project just can’t be matched by plastic or other man-made materials. Cedar is renowned for its beauty, and nick-named “tree of life”. This is due to it’s health giving properties and anti-fungal acids. It contains natural preservatives therefore helping to resist rot and insect infestations. At the factory we have also applied a water based stain that has been formulated with ingredients that are safe for the environment. Yardistry Direct Cedar lumber is also lighter. There are two reasons for this. Firstly, Cedar is a soft wood so it is naturally lighter when compared to hardwoods. However, the primary reason is that the Cedar in Yardistry Direct products has been kiln dried.

Kiln Drying

Kiln Drying is a process where the Cedar lumber is put into a giant oven over a period of several days, removing moisture. This makes the lumber more dimensionally stable so the wood will stay flat and straight, making it perfect for building an outdoor project.

We recommend applying a water sealant approximately 3 months after assembly and on a yearly basis after that. This will help maintain the wood and protect against weathering. Yardistry Direct sell two types of stain – natural and mocha. We do not recommend using an oil based product.

A substantial light-colored wooden post supports the roof structure. Four large diagonal wooden braces (two visible in full) connect the post to the overhead beams. The joints are secured using multiple dark, circular, matte black fasteners (likely bolt covers or large washers over bolts/lag screws) that create a strong visual contrast against the light wood. The underside of the roof shows a dark, possibly metal or shingled, sub-structure and exposed framing.

Yardistry Direct gazebos can be enjoyed for many years and maintenance is both straightforward and easy to carry out.
