Wooden grill gazebo being installed on a garden patio with tools and ladder in view

Building our new BBQ Grilling Pavilion

“We decided that we needed something to protect our bbq and pizza oven set up, and an area to work under too. The Meridian Grilling Pavilion ticks all the boxes”.

This image shows a newly constructed or nearly-completed wooden garden structure, likely a gazebo, pergola, or pavilion, set up on a patio.🏗️ Structure DetailsMaterial: The structure is made of substantial, light-colored wooden beams and posts, suggesting oak or a similar hardwood, with visible mortise and tenon joinery reinforced by large, dark bolts or pegs.Design: It has four main corner posts, each sitting on a raised wooden base block. The roof is pitched with exposed rafters and a distinctive, decorative truss or gable feature at the front.Roofing: The roof itself appears to be covered with a dark, solid material, possibly metal or felt shingles, providing shade and protection from rain.Construction Stage: The presence of a stepladder/sawhorse bench with tools (a drill is visible) next to the structure indicates that construction or final assembly is either ongoing or was very recently completed.🏡 Setting and BackgroundLocation: The structure is situated on a paved patio area, which borders a patch of grass.Fencing: A tall, solid wooden fence forms the boundary on the left side. Background Buildings:On the right, part of a house is visible, constructed of red brick with a window and a glass door. The roof has reddish-brown tiles. In the far background, behind the fence on the left, a building with a dark, mossy roof is partially visible.Furniture: Underneath and behind the structure on the right, there is a dark-colored outdoor sofa or seating area with several light-colored cushions stacked or arranged on it, suggesting the area is being prepared for use.Person: A person wearing dark clothing is partially visible standing inside the structure on the right, possibly working on the final touches. The overall impression is of a robust, high-quality garden shelter being finished and prepared for use in a residential backyard setting.

Starting to build the Grilling Pavilion

Unpack the box and make sure you run a full inventory against the manual. Doing this before you start means you can let Yardistry know if any pieces are missing or broken. This is unlikely but it is always better to check before you start building. Follow the manual page by page and step by step. Be sure to have access to a good basic DIY tool kit. Drills, spanner sets, spirit level, step ladders, etc. A two-person build is required, and most customers set aside a weekend so they have a couple of days to complete their grilling pavilion build.

This is a close-up image focusing on a joint between two pieces of light-colored wood, likely part of a furniture item or a constructed wooden frame (possibly related to the gazebo from the previous image).🔍 Focus DetailsWood Pieces:One piece is a wider, vertical post or panel on the left. The second piece is a narrower, horizontal piece extending to the right, forming a shelf support or a structural cross-member.Joint: The horizontal piece is butted against the vertical piece. A shelf or wider board rests on top of the horizontal support.Marking: The most prominent feature is a stamped or branded number on the end-grain of the horizontal piece. The number is "793" and is enclosed in a simple rectangular border with slightly rounded corners. This marking is likely a manufacturer's identification number for quality control, part numbering for assembly, or material sourcing code.Wood Grain: The natural grain and texture of the wood are clearly visible.🏡 Background and SettingSurface: The wooden structure is resting on a paved patio or stone slab surface, which is slightly damp or weathered.Depth of Field: The image has a very shallow depth of field, keeping the wooden joint sharp while the background is blurred (bokeh effect).Far Background: In the blurred distance, there is a hint of greenery and a wooden fence, suggesting the structure is outdoors in a garden or yard setting. The image is a detailed inspection shot, highlighting the assembly, material, and a specific identification mark on the wooden components.

During the build

The wood parts are numbered so install is straightforward and all hardware bags are labelled for ease of recognition. The film peels back off the roof panels easier if two people do this together, keeping the tension as you pull.

“We are really pleased with the finished product. Overall, delighted with the quality and finish too. It looks great, went up nicely and really compliments our outdoor living space”.
