Yardistry Direct ‘Natural Cedar’ Wood Stain & Protector 5L

Description

Surface Preparation

Surfaces must be clean and dry. Lightly sand if necessary. Clean weathered or dirty wood using water, detergent and a stiff brush before application. No base coat or primer is required, unless applying to bare wood, when a water based knotting agent or anti-stain blocking primer should be used. The superior formulation of this product allows it to be applied to any material that is porous.

Application

Stir well before and during use. Apply using brush, sponge, low pressure spray gun or roller. Allow to dry for 2-4 hours. If left longer, sand back lightly before applying the next coat. DO NOT apply in temperatures below 5°C (41 °F), or if wet weather is expected within 48hrs. DO NOT apply to wet, damp or frozen timber.

Coverage

1 litre covers approximately 8-12m² depending on moisture content and porosity of the wood. This can be up to twice the coverage of spirit based products, and ours is child/pet/plant friendly.

It’s recommended that 2 coats are applied for maximum protection and durability. Each additional coat increases the colour and sheen.

Drying Time

Touch dry within 2 hours, depending upon humidity and drying conditions.

Cleaning up

Remove excess product from the brush, roller or sponge washing with warm water and detergent. Wash nozzle & pipe from sprayer immediately after use with warm water and detergent – DO NOT allow product to dry in sprayer, on brush, sponge or roller. Splashes can be cleaned away with warm water and detergent whilst still wet.

Precautions

• Keep out of reach of children and animals.
• Ensure good ventilation during application and drying.
• Wear suitable protective clothing (coveralls) & synthetic rubber/pvc gloves during application.
• Unprotected persons or animals should be kept away until coated surfaces are dry.
• Avoid contact with skin & eyes. In case of contact with eyes, rinse immediately with plenty of water and if necessary seek medical advice.
• Wash splashes from the skin with plenty of water and detergent.
• Wash hands and exposed skin before meals and after use.
• May be harmful if swallowed.

Disposal

This product and container must be disposed of in a safe way. Some local authorities have special facilities for the disposal of waste coatings.

DO NOT empty product into drains, water courses or access to septic tanks.

Transportation & Storage

Ensure that this container is stored upright and secure during transportation.

DO NOT allow this product to freeze.
