“With the recent price of lumber spiking, this was a great value given the fact it is pre-cut, comes with all hardware, and is made of cedar”.

An indoor/outdoor scene shows various components of an unassembled wooden structure, likely a gazebo or similar kit, laid out on a covered patio or porch.

The majority of the foreground is occupied by neat piles of new, light-colored lumber—predominantly 2x4s and 4x4s. Some of the pieces on the left are cut with a curve, suggesting they are for decorative arches or roof supports. The lumber rests directly on a concrete floor.

To the right, a person is kneeling among the materials, sorting through piles of hardware (bolts, screws, brackets) that are spread on the floor. The person is wearing a gray T-shirt and dark shorts, actively working on organizing the components for assembly.

Against the back wall, which is made of red-orange brick, several items are visible: a large electric fan on the floor, a black portable speaker or amplifier plugged into an outlet, and a screened door leading into the house. A red and black bicycle with thick tires and a seat bag is propped up near the kneeling person.

The area is covered by a porch roof, with the outdoor surroundings visible through the screening on the right side. The overall impression is a snapshot of an ongoing DIY project, showing the initial stages of preparing to build an outdoor structure. The space serves as a temporary workshop.

Building at home

“After getting the structure home we unboxed everything and laid it out per the instructions. Therefore it made picking pieces for assembly much easier”. Because Yardistry Direct manuals are set out with step by step instructions for each stage of the build, it progresses well. Plus online build videos back up the manuals.

A vertical, mid-shot photo captures a newly constructed, light-stained wooden gazebo in a suburban backyard, taken around dusk.

The gazebo features a classic open design with sturdy posts and gracefully curved support beams. It has a dark, slatted metal roof with a gentle pitch. The structure is erected over a square patio area paved with light gray pavers, which is outlined by a border of white crushed stone that separates it from the surrounding yard. Some tools, including blue mats or leveling blocks, are lying on the newly installed patio, suggesting the project was recently completed.

In the foreground and around the patio, the yard consists of well-maintained green grass. To the left, the gazebo stands next to the exterior wall of a house, which is constructed of red-orange brick and features a dark roofline.

The background shows the perimeter of the yard, defined by a low wooden fence. A red step ladder is visible leaning against the fence on the right side. Above the fence line, a dense canopy of mature trees and foliage creates a natural, green backdrop against the dimming sky. The lighting suggests late afternoon or early evening, giving the scene a soft, tranquil feel. The image conveys the successful completion of a backyard improvement project, ready for outdoor furnishing and use.

“Instructions were fairly clear and the helpful hints videos on the website were helpful. It took us a couple of days to assemble. I only needed extra assistance when it came time to hoist the prebuilt roof panels into position. Definitely pay attention to hole patterns when assembling, as I had to remove and replace one perimeter beam due to installing upside down”.

A vertical, outdoor photo captures a dedicated relaxation area featuring a hot tub housed under a wooden gazebo on a sunny day.

In the center of the frame, a large, gray hot tub with built-in steps is positioned directly beneath a wooden gazebo. The gazebo has a natural wood finish, a pitched roof structure with visible beams and supports, and a dark interior ceiling, offering shelter and privacy. A white towel is neatly hung on the corner post of the gazebo, ready for use.

The hot tub and gazebo sit on a small, gray paved patio, which is framed by a generous border of white crushed stone enclosed by dark edging. The paving separates the area from a reddish brick pathway that curves into the foreground.

The immediate foreground features a large potted plant with vibrant red and yellow hibiscus flowers adding a splash of color to the scene.

The background is enclosed by a medium-height wooden fence, suggesting a residential backyard setting. Above the fence line, a dense row of green trees and foliage provides a natural canopy. The sunlight filtering through the leaves creates bright highlights. The overall impression is a cozy, well-designed personal spa retreat within a private backyard setting.
The finished look is stunning!
