Overall it has been a great project and we are really pleased and (proud) of our new gazebo. We could have paid for it to be installed but chose to build it ourselves. There was a delay in delivery which was managed well by the company. It came in three big boxes which the delivery team brought into the garden. I did an inventory before the start of the build and found two pieces of wood were warped. The company were quick to replace them and new parts arrived within a week. The build went really well. The Yardistry instruction video on You Tube gave top tips. One person did most of the assembling over a couple of days plus we spent two evenings peeling plastic (all the roof pieces were covered and the plastic was stuck hard by the warm weather). 4 of us were needed to get the frame up and roof on. In all it was about 3 1/2 days of work. We put it onto gravel which meant lots of tweaks to get it level. The design helped us make these adjustments before we were happy and all was level/straight.

  5. The instructions are very clear, although you do need to pay attention as some pieces are similar to others. It’s also easy to put stuff upside down. Two of us (68 year olds) assembled it. We put the structure together in a day. However, peeling the plastic off the roof panels took over 2 days, it’s a nightmare. But, once finished it’s well worth the effort, it not only looks great, it’s also very substantial. Well worth the money. Highly recommend them

Q & A

Ask a question
Is it possible to choose a colour stain or not have it stained at all? Likewise, is it possible to choose the colour of the roof sheets? Richard Ofield asked on February 12, 2024

Hi thanks for your question. I am afraid we do not offer a bespoke service so are unable to offer stain choices or roof sheet choices. The items come in to us pre boxed ready for point of sale.

Do i need planning permission for this? Srinivas Edara asked on April 19, 2023

Our gazebos are classed as permitted development, so there is no need to apply for planning permission, provided you position them appropriately in your garden. Please do refer to the planning portal (https://www.planningportal.co.uk/) or contact your local council if you have specific questions regarding assembling a gazebo in your garden.

Does gazebo need to be fixed down ? Russell summers asked on May 8, 2022

Our gazebos all come with ground anchor fitments on each leg. They have screw holes so they can be screwed to concrete, decking or patio. You just need to supply the hardware to go through the mounting points. Hope this helps.
