No, your privacy wall will be delivered ready colour matched to either Mocha Brown or Natural Cedar. Please ensure your purchase the correct colour when your purchase.
We recommend you use a sponge. This enables a very quick and consistent application. Alternatively you can apply using a brush, low pressure spray gun or roller.
A water based stain. Easy to apply and fast drying. It is child/pet/plant friendly. It doesn’t contain turpentine, white spirit or heavy metals. And because it’s water based it’s has very low VOCA’s (volatile organic compounds).
Lasting up to 5 years depending on weather and exposure, our Wood Stain & Protector creates a microporous waterproof coating that contains a non-hazardous mould and algae inhibitor to protect the integrity of the coating. The blended organic pigments ensure that the colour is bright, pure and long lasting, and with added wax and acrylic it’s most effective water repellents currently available.
1 litre covers approximately 8-12m² depending on moisture content and porosity of the wood. This can be up to twice the coverage of spirit based products, and ours is child/pet/plant friendly. It’s advised that 2 coats are applied for maximum protection and durability. Each additional coat increases the colour and sheen.
We no longer manufacture products with a grey base coat colour. Sorry to say that this colour is no longer available.
Your Yardistrydirect gazebo will be delivered pre-stained. We advise it’s good to re-apply stain as required though, to ensure the lumber is protected from weathering due to UV, wind and rain. Therefore this will maximise the longevity of your gazebo and keep it looking new for longer. In addition, it is worth noting that unstained wood is more susceptible to drying out, which causes cracks, checks and splintering.
