Its 6-foot high side walls make it comfortable for standing and help ensure proper airflow. The 32-inch high cedar base walls are built with sturdy tongue and groove construction. They also enable you to store gardening tools away from view and built into the base wall is a 16-inch lower shelf. The double-wall polycarbonate windows are strong and durable, while an automatic roof vent opener and louvered base wall vent maintain optimal temperature and humidity levels.
Built with premium cedar lumber, you can feel good knowing the quality of Meridian Greenhouse can withstand the outdoor elements. All cedar pieces come pre-stained with an attractive, natural cedar stain. The cedar door features a latch and closer with a quick-hold feature that keeps the door open when desired.
All sections are pre-cut and pre-drilled for easier assembly. I love this greenhouse. It is so well planned and made with high quality products. Plenty of shelf and counter space, room for tools, fertilisers and soil bags. It is solid and attractive!
I had to wait several months before assembling the greenhouse. Once I got started , it went together easily. The window vent opener never worked. I ended up buying another one on Amazon. It works great. I added stick on motion sensor lights so I can be out there after dark. I am wondering if I need to add a fan. Instead of using the latch that was included I bought heavy duty magnets to use instead. Several people on YouTube stated they had gotten locked in their greenhouse. I eventually hope to put a water line in the greenhouse and a slop sink and electricity.
Are there a lot of pieces, yep, there are. They are all well identified with a part number and we separated everything out with the small things laid out on a work table and the wood leaned against the fence in numerical order. Note that prior to starting, we opened the box and used the first pieces of the kit to make sure our 4X4 pressure treated linear foundation was the proper size. We kept the compressed gravel floor as is. The instructions are good, just follow them A,B,C, etc. and it goes along smoothly but yes, all together the two of us had it ready to use over the course of two days, maybe 12 “man” hours all together. One thing that I didn’t realise until after we were almost done with it, the roof vent opens and closes automatically with the air temperature. It works great and what a relief to not have to manually control!
